ZOFO Piano Duo
Monday, February 16, 7 p.m., Event Center
Since joining forces as a professional duo in 2009, internationally acclaimed solo pianists EVA-MARIA ZIMMERMANN and KEISUKE NAKAGOSHI - ZOFO - have electrified audiences from Carnegie Hall to the Tokyo Opera Recital Hall. This GRAMMY-nominated, prize-winning Steinway Artist Ensemble is one of only a few duos worldwide devoted exclusively to piano duets: the “piano-four-hand” repertoire for two pianists sharing one keyboard. They will play works by Poulenc, Schubert, Ravel, Reynaldo Hahn, Mendelssohn, and Estonian composer Urmas Sisask. For this concert, video projection will afford the audience a close view of the choreography of the four hands at the keyboard.
This concert is presented in memory of Karen Quinn, beloved member of the RCMS community who served as the first Artist Liaison, graciously managing hospitality for our guest artists. Karen’s friends and family as well as RCMS board members are co-sponsoring the concert with generous contributions in her memory.
